It is not easy to get settled in this field easily. It is a competitive Industry, You have to struggle a lot if you do not have any Godfather or any settled Musician in the family to guide you. Though you have it hard work is compulsory. But now social media platforms and audio streaming platforms like Spotify are also available for Guitarists, and singers to showcase their talent to people and start their career in music.

What matter the most is how good you play, how much experience you have, your teaching skills and how easy you make it to learn. It requires patience. If you are really passionate for teaching, you will be surely successful. It is one of the best career options for Guitarists.

2) Studio Guitarist/Session Guitarist:- Session Guitarists are pro players who are hired to record backing tracks on short term basis, for recording artists. They are paid per hour.

Session Musicians are highly skilled, versatile and flexible, and are reliable and they adjust according to recording requirements. They are master in their techniques that they finished their recordings in a single or a very few takes.

The more you master the tracks the reputation you develop. To make a good career in it you have should have proficiency and enough knowledge of various style. Also you have to collaborate with various artists, music producers, sound engineers and other session musicians and build good network with them.

3) Playing in Band/Orchestra:- According to Professional guitarists, if you want to play in a band you should master the skills like, reading the music, ability to follow and adjust flexibly with your other music players and singers.

Good Coordination in Music is must and playing in band develops it. Also it will help master your skills in all aspects of playing Guitar. It will keep your mind aware and active. When it comes to pay scales orchestra players earn $50 to $100 per hour if side players. Salary of the orchestra players is on average $24000 to $78500.

4) Create YouTube channel as a Professional Guitarist:- Though there is lot of competition on YouTube, you can stand out as a reputed Musician/Guitarist on YouTube.

All you need is unique content how you use your marketing techniques and how you connect with your audience. Reach of your content is higher and you can earn enough through it. But you also need a lots of patience for that.

I have my own channel but honestly saying that I am still struggling. But I believe one day I will reach more than 1k subscribers. Just keep uploading and improving your content. Its not a full time career for all but it can keep your passion alive. Consistency will make you earn enough from it also.

5) Music Composer:- If you have composition skills you can create your own solo tunes and release them on Various media platforms, you can compose your tunes for Advertisements and various commercials. You can work as a freelancer or also you can work as an assistant composer with an established/reputed music composer.

6) Guitarists in event, Birthday parties - In high profile weddings and events Guitarist can present their talent and paid and recognized also. Don't hesitate and lose any opportunity to showcase your talent. If you love to entertain people and live your passion it is best option for you too.
